The force police public relations officer, Mr. Frank Mba yesterday paraded a 20-year-old man, Abubakar Amodu who connived with a criminal gang to abduct his father for N2 million ransom in Abuja
The suspect who confessed to the crime said he worked with his father rearing cattle and that after many years of learning the trade, his father gave him 15 cows and he moved out of their family house.
Amosu said he got friendly with members of a gang, who told him that his father was rich, and should be kidnapped for money.
“I became friends with the members of the gang, who told me that my father was rich, and he should be kidnapped for money.
“After we kidnapped my father, he paid N2 million and I was given N200, 000 as my share,” he said.
