The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has urged air travelers, airport users and the general public to disregard the trending video clip on the social media portraying the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport in a bad light.
The spokeswoman for FAAN, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu said in a press statement that there was no time operations at the airport were disrupted during the week.
“FAAN wishes to inform air travelers, airport users and the general public that there was seamless operation at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on October 3, 2017.
“The authority hereby dispels the trending malicious video clip aimed to create panic and tarnish the reputation of our airports by mischief makers.
“The authority would like to use this medium to inform the general public that they should always refer to the authority’s website or social media platforms, facebook page…where authentic news and updates are readily accessible,” she said.
