FAAN pledges to ensure healthy airport environment

The managing director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mr. Saleh Dunoma has pledged the agency’s commitment to ensuring that all plastic materials and other wastes generated around the nation’s airports are properly evacuated to prevent the hazards associated with them.

The managing director made the pledge in his welcome address to participants at the 2018 World Environment Day held in Lagos yesterday.

Dunoma who was represented at the event by the director of engineering services, Mr. Salisu Daura, emphasised the need for a safe and healthy airport environment as well as the importance of integrating human interactions in “our development plans in order to ensure a safe and healthy environment.”

He assured the public and airport users of a clean and safe airport environment stressing that FAAN “is committed to its core values of safety, security and comfort.
