The senate on Tuesday confirmed the nomination of Capt. Musa Nuhu as the director general of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
Nuhu’s confirmation was made at the plenary after the chairman senate committee on aviation Mr. Smart Adeyemi presented the report of the committee the floor.
It would be recalled that president Muhammadu Buhari had in a letter dated January 7, 2020 requested the senate’s approval of the appointee.
Buhari who described Nuhu as a reputable airline pilot and aviation safety expert with over 30 years of cognate work experience in the aviation industry wrote: “In view of the strategic importance of the NCAA as the regulator of the civil aviation industry, I wish to request for the expeditious consideration and confirmation of Captain Musa Shuaibu Nuhu as the substantive director-general of NCAA.”
