Barring any unforeseen circumstance, the Esama of Benin and founder of Igbinedion University, Okada, Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion will be the ‘grand host’ of the marriage of his granddaughter, Miss Natasha Osawaru to Benue State-born musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly called 2Baba.
2Baba has been captured in a viral video proposing to Osawaru who is the deputy majority leader of Edo State House of Assembly.
The video, which surfaced on Thursday, came a day after the singer publicly confirmed his romantic relationship with the lawmaker, amid a divorce saga with his wife, Annie.
Idibia confirmed his intention to marry the legislator while he exonerated her new lover from being responsible for the collapse of the marriage between Annie and him.
“Hon. Natasha has been dragged; she has been called all sorts of names, has been labelled as a home breaker.
“She is a young brilliant amazing woman and she had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage.
“Yes I love her, she is amazing, she is cool, I want to marry her,” he wrote on his X handle.
In another video, the two were captured dancing together in the presence of some of their friends.
2Baba later proceeded to present a ring to the 32-year-old lawmaker after which they were locked in a long and passionate embrace.
