The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) suspended the proposed National Aviation Conference earlier slated for April 1-4 in Abuja.
Spokesperson for the agency, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu said in a statement that the event was suspended due to the need to adhere to safety precautions in the face of the deadly coronavirus spreading across nations of the world.
“A new date for the conference will be announced as soon as possible.
“The Authority regrets any inconvenience this postponement might have caused you,” she said.
It would be recalled that World Health Organisation (WHO) recently declared COVID 19 a pandemic and advised as much as possible that individuals and organisations should avoid clustered gatherings to prevent the spread of the virus.
