President Bola Tinubu returned to Abuja yesterday after over two weeks ‘working visit’ to France and the United Kingdom.
The president’s aircraft arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 9:50pm where he was received by top government officials, including his chief of staff, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila; secretary to the government of the federation, Mr George Akume; national security adviser, Mr Nuhu Ribadu and the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr Nyesom Wike.
Recall that the president left Nigeria on 2 April for France for a “short working visit,” according to the presidency.
The presidency stated that during his two-week stay in France, the president would “retreat to review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.”
Following the expiration of the initially announced 14 days, the presidency announced that Tinubu had moved from France to the United Kingdom and would return subsequently.
