Abuja, PH airports win ACI awards for ‘Airport emergency management and resilience

The Airport Council International (ACI Africa) has conferred the ‘Airport emergency management and resilience’ awards on Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and the Port Harcourt International Airport.

The recognition was announced during the Gala Night at the 33rd Annual General Assembly of ACI Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa.

According to Mr Tunde Moshood, media aide to the minister of aviation and aerospace development, Mr Festus Keyamo, the president, ACI Africa, Mr Emmanuel Chaves and the secretary general, Mr Ali Tounsi, presented plaques to both airports at the event.

“These prestigious awards are a testament to the unwavering commitment and hard work of everyone involved in ensuring excellence in airport emergency management and resilience, especially the minister of aviation and aerospace development, Mr Festus Keyamo.

“Nigeria’s aviation sector can take pride in this achievement, which underscores the dedication to providing secure and efficient travel experiences,” the statement added.
