Ahmed Farouk takes over as NAMA MD, prioritises communication, airspace stability

Mr Ahmed Farouk has taken over from Mr Tayib Odunowo as the new managing director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).

Speaking during the handover ceremony held in Abuja, the new NAMA helmsman emphasised a renewed commitment to safety and industry standards.

Specifically, he said he would prioritise communication and airspace stability, stressing that “NAMA is no longer on trial; we are on course and our commitment to excellence is resolute.”

Farouk also emphasised strict adherence to global safety standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

Besides, he declared a state of emergency on power within the agency to enhance operational efficiency.

The managing director underlined his dedication to maintaining industry-leading safety measures and called for a collective responsibility.
