The chairman of Air Peace, Mr Allen Onyema, has been conferred with an Honorary Fellowship Award by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

The conferment was done during the institute’s 60th Anniversary Fellowship Investiture held in Lagos last Saturday, October 21.

“The Fellowship conferment is in recognition of Onyema’s invaluable contributions to the Institute, the banking industry and the economy at large as the CEO of Air Peace.

“The honour is an acknowledgement of his peace advocacy, constant promotion of broad nationalism and his several evacuation flights,” the board of fellows and practice licence of the institute said.

In his appreciation, the conferee thanked CIBN for the honour and pledged to continue supporting it and using his commercial entities to positively impact the Nigerian economy.

Onyema also praised the institute for ensuring high professionalism in the banking profession.

Recall that the airline chief was recently conferred with an honorary doctorate degree by the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) for his outstanding service to the nation and humanity in general.
