Air Peace has concluded plans re-launch flights from Lagos and Abuja to Makurdi Airport as from April 17, 2023.
The airline said in a statement by its spokesman, Mr. Stanley Olisa that the carrier will operate three weekly flights to the airport.
He further said tickets were already on sale adding that passengers could alternatively book online at www.flyairpeace.com or use the mobile app.
Recall that the airline had in 2018 signed a partnership agreement with the Benue State Government for the launch of scheduled passenger flights out of the state’s capital, Makurdi.
Makurdi does not, at present, see large scale commercial flight operations with passengers forced to use Enugu located about 180 kilometres away.
But with Air Peace plying the route from Lagos and Abuja, Benue-bound passengers will now be saved the trouble of landing in Enugu and taking the rest of the journey by rood to Benue.
Currently, Air Peace is investing in modern aircraft, as it has 37 aircraft and still expecting eight brand new Embraer 195- E2s and additional 15 brand new Boeing 737 Max 8 and 10 orders to boost its operations.
The carrier has a network of 20 domestic routes, seven regional and four international destinations.
Its fleet consists of Boeing 777, Boeing 737, Embraer 195-E2, Airbus 320, ERJ 145 and Dornier 328 Jet.
