Arik Air has announced its partnership with the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Delta State chapter, as the official airline sponsor of the highly 2024 AGN award night.
The event is slated for November 30th, 2024 at the Benizia Hotel, Summit Road Asaba, Delta state.
The spokesman for Arik Air, Mr Olabanji Ola, said in a statement that the collaboration was part of the carrier’s corporate social responsibility.
As part of its commitment to supporting the Nigerian arts and entertainment industry, Arik Air will be sponsoring 20 out of the available 60 award categories up for grabs at the award night.
“The AGN Award Night is a pinnacle celebration of excellence in the Nigeria film industry recognising the achievements of actors, directors, producers and other creative people who continue to shape and elevate Nollywood on the global stage.
“We are proud to support the AGN award night. This further reinforces Arik Air’s dedication to fostering the growth and recognition of Nollywood, which is Africa’s largest film industry.
“Nollywood is a major part of Nigeria’s economy employing more than a million people directly or indirectly. Arik Air’s support for the industry is thus, so strategic and resonates with the airline’s corporate social responsibility,” said the airline’s head of commercial, Mr Ailemen Arumemi-Johnson.
