The chairman, Adamawa State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mr. Abdurrahman Bobboi has said that the party would not relent to woo the former vice president, Mr. Atiku Abubakar back into the party because he (Atiku) is under-utilised in the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking during a press conference in Yola, Bobboi said the wooing became necessary for Atiku to contribute his quota to nation building.

“Atiku is a founding member of the PDP and we want him back; we are not going to give him a breathing space until he comes back as he is currently being under-utilised in APC. We are going to reach out to him right from his ward to come back to PDP,” he said.

Bobboi also said the PDP at the national and state levels were making efforts to convince Atiku and other founding fathers who left the party to return.

“The former vice president was a founding member, was vice president under the PDP and he is resourceful. He has acquired vast experience and should not be abandoned. They’re working hard at the centre and we are doing same here in his home state,” he said.

Bobboi said despite Atiku’s resourcefulness and wealth of experience in managing affairs, the APC had refused the former vice president the chance to provide solution to the country’s problems.

“APC is not tapping his experience; we that know his resourcefulness will not give him breathing space until he returns,” he added.

He congratulated the Ahmed Makarfi -led caretaker committee on its victory at the Supreme Court stressing that the PDP would bounce back and wax much stronger.

Thereafter, Bobboi said the party at the state level had constituted a reconciliation committee under the chairmanship of former governor, Mr. Boni Haruna to bring back all aggrieved members.

He added that congress, convention, and disciplinary committees would also be constituted.
