Renowned Australian futurist and founder of Moven, Brett King, senior partner, McKinsey, Tarik Alatovic, Senior Partner, McKinsey and West Africa director, Google, Juliet Ehimuan, have been lined up for the second edition of the Zenith Tech Fair.
The fair which holds in Lagos from November 22-23 under the theme ‘Forward 2.0”, will also feature country manager, Microsoft Inc., Ola Williams, vice president/head, Visa West Africa, Andrew Uaboi, director of information technology at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mrs. Rakiya Mohammed, managing director, Huawei Technologies Nigeria, Chris Lu, and deputy managing director, Zenith Bank Plc, Adaora Umeoji, among others.
The bank said in a statement that the event is patterned in the mould of global technological events such as the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and EmTech Asia.
The event will showcase leading technology innovations that cut across different aspects of life, such as artificial intelligence, computing, machine learning, blockchain, robotics, big data, FinTech, augmented reality, data analytics, 5G and communication technologies, among others.
Besides, the bank said the fair will feature Hackathon sessions to identify innovative startups, panel discussions, master classes and exhibitions.
It further stated that King will deliver the keynote address entitled ‘The future of banking: Digital transformation journey’, welcome address by the founder and chairman of Zenith Bank, Mr. Jim Ovia and opening remarks by the group managing director of the bank and chairman, Body of Banks’ CEOs, Mr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu.
The fair will feature three panel discussions. The first panel, which will examine “The future of payments: What next and how can we get there”, has Prof. Yinka David West of Lagos Business School as the host, with four discussants, including the managing director, UPSL, Agada Apochi, managing director, Opay, Olu Akanmu, managing director, NIBBS, Premier Oiwoh, and vice president and head of products, East/West Africa, MasterCard, Kari Tukur,.
The second panel will explore the theme ‘What are the main challenges of digital transformation in the financial industry? How do we solve them?’
It will be hosted by King and has four discussants, including the managing director, Team Apt, Tosin Eniolorunda, managing director, Appzone, Obi Emetarom, chief operating officer, FinTech Association of Nigeria (FinTechNGR), Dr. Babatunde Obrimah, and founder/CEO, Flutterwave, Olugbenga Agboola.
The third panel discussion is entitled “Driving the global trade revolution with technology: Current transformation trends”.
The panel, which will be hosted by the founder /CEO, Our Pass, Samuel Eze, has five discussants, including the managing director, PAPSS, Mike Ogbalu III, divisional CEO, Interswitch, Akeem Lawal, country manager, Jumia, Massimiliano Spalazzi, and director, trade and exchange at the CBN, Dr. OzoemenaNnaji.
