The Nigerian Red Cross Society has admitted Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), operator of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2), into their organisation as a corporate member.
The terminal operator disclosed this in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Mrs Ajoke Yinka-Olawuyi.
The release said the admission “underscores BASL’s commitment to social responsibility and community well-being.”
Commenting on the development, the acting chief operating officer of BASL, Mr Remi Jibodu remarked: “This collaboration will enable us to strengthen our contributions to emergency preparedness, disaster relief, and community support initiatives. At MMA2, we strive to be more than just an airport terminal; we are an integral part of the community we serve.
“As a corporate member, BASL will actively support and participate in various Red Cross programs, including First Aid training, disaster preparedness, community health programs, and volunteerism.
“BASL’s corporate membership in the Nigerian Red Cross Society reflects its dedication to being a responsible corporate citizen and actively contributing to humanitarian efforts.
Similarly, BASL’s head of safety, Ms Nafisat Adeniran said: “We are honored to partner with the Nigerian Red Cross Society, a globally recognised humanitarian organisation.
“This partnership aligns perfectly with our core values of safety, customer care, and excellence. We look forward to working closely with the Nigerian Red Cross to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives.”
For his part, the managing director and chief executive officer of the society, Dr. Emmanuel Bassi, emphasised the importance of the partnership, saying: “First aid training is not just beneficial in the workplace but also in everyday life. Additionally, members will enjoy discounted rates for Red Cross programmes.”
