Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), which operates the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2), has taken delivery of more x-ray machines and air conditioner equipment as part of its plan to boost the safety, security and comfort of air travellers and other users of the terminal.
The company’s acting head of business, Mr. Raphael Uchegbu disclosed to League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) when its executive paid a courtesy visit to the operator.
Uchegbu said BASL had been upgrading and improving all its facilities since inception.
He said when BASL started operations, it had all its facilities intact as of 2015 which later needed to be changed.
However, he said the management had to change a lot of things including escalators and other equipment.
“When we started operations. We had all the facilities in 2015.. We changed a lot of things. We are expecting X-ray machines to arrive today. And AC too,” he added.
In his remark, the group corporate affairs manager, Mr. Mikail Mumuni said the terminal operator was making improvements in its facility upgrade but lamented that the company “is not really projected for the good things that it has been doing.”
Mumuni said Nigeria has huge infrastructure deficit, stressing that “government is incapable of bridging the gap. The onus is on those that are materially endowed to do it.”
He appreciate LAAC for the visit and urged advised the journalists’ body to keep the airport beat virile just as he solicited for continued media support.
