Bello Hassan condoles with the Yara’Aduas on matriarch’s death

The MD/CEO of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Mr Bello Hassan, has condoled the family of late President Umar Yar’Adua on the death of the matriarch, Hajia Aya Dada Yar’Adua.

The NDIC said in a statement that Hassan was received on the visit by Yar’Adua’s son, Abdulaziz, who represent who Katsina Central senatorial district.

“The NDIC boss expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family, acknowledging the significant loss they had suffered.

“Hassan’s visit was a gesture of respect and solidarity with the Yar’Adua family during this difficult time.

“It also reflected the NDIC’s commitment to upholding the values of empathy and compassion,” the statement said.

The NDIC described the deceased as a “highly respected figure in Katsina and beyond, known for her kindness, wisdom, and generosity,” stressing that “her passing has left a void in the lives of her loved ones and the community at large.”

The statement further said through Hassan’s condolence visit “demonstrates the NDIC’s dedication to supporting those in need, particularly during times of bereavement.”

“The corporation’s leadership remains committed to making a positive impact in the lives of Nigerians, beyond its core mandate of deposit insurance.

“The visit also served as an opportunity for Hassan to strengthen ties with the Yar’Adua family and the Katsina community, fostering a sense of unity and shared humanity.

“As the NDIC continues to play a vital role in Nigeria’s financial sector, its leadership remains mindful of the importance of empathy, compassion, and community engagement,” the corporation added.
