Capt. Musa Nuhu has formally resumed work at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) as the 7th director general of the agency following his appointment on October 23, 2019 and eventual confirmation by the senate.
The acting director general of NCAA, Capt. Sidi Abdullahi handed over to the new helmsman at a brief ceremony held yesterday at Aviation House, Lagos
While handing over, Capt Abdullahi urged staff to support the new director general in his drive to take the agency to a greater height.
In his response, Nuhu thanked the federal government for the confidence reposed in him, promising to work with the staff in realising the organisation mandate.
Musa solicited for new ideas and suggestions from staff to make his work seamless and effective.
Besides, he urged staff to brace up for challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
In attendance at the event were the director of operations and training, Capt Dele Sasegbon, director of general aviation; Alhaji Mr. Adamu Abdullahi, director of consumer protection; Mr. Ita Awak, director of air worthiness standards; Mr. Tayyib Odunowo, director of aerodrome and airspace standards, Mrs. Bilikisu Adamu Sani, director of air transport regulations, Group Capt. Edem Oyo-Ita (Rtd.), among others.
Also in attendance was Musa’s immediate successor as Nigeria’s representative on the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Council, Mr. Ben Tukur.
