Dana Air has promoted two members of its flight crew, Jonathan Okoli and Tosin Ayeni as captains.
Speaking during the decoration of the pilots, the chief operating officer of the airline, Mr. Ememobong Ettete, urged them to sustain the carrier’s safety standards.
“This upgrade is well-deserved, having scaled the requirements to be promoted to the rank of a captain.
“The rank of a captain comes with enormous responsibility. Not everyone can achieve this feat because you have to prove yourself over time and pass all the necessary safety requirements and training to be promoted to this rank and Dana Air will continue to reward excellence, professionalism and hard work.
”The growth of every staff is one of the key things we focus on at Dana Air and I am proud to see that they were able to scale the rigorous tests and training from our dispassionate training standards team and I am very confident that they will continue to maintain our high safety standards,” he added.
Responding, the promoted captains assured the airline of the commitment for operating in accordance with global best practices and maintain the airline’s safety standards.
They also thanked the airline for elevating only on the basis of merit.
