The Finance and Business Online Publishers (FiBOP) said its annual conference will be a gathering of a galaxy of banking, insurance, telecommunications and fintech experts who will be discussing issues relating to insecurity in the midst of economic turbulence.
Slated for October 20-22, 2023 at Orchid Hotel, Lekki, the group announced in a statement by its chairman, Mr Charles Onwuatogwu that the executive vice chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, managing director, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Mr Bello Hassan, chairman, Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA), Mr Olusegun Omosehin, and director general, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Mr Lamido Yuguda will be among the discussants.
Onwuatogwu said the event will be held under the theme ‘Mitigating insecurity and financial risk using insurance and technology in a harsh economy.’
He said the three-day conference “provides a vital platform for organisations within Nigeria’s insurance and economic sectors to spotlight their contributions to economic growth.”
Besides, he said the conference will attract many other CEOs from aviation, finance, and oil sectors, risk management experts, local and international investors and security agencies.
“Stakeholders, industry leaders and concerned citizens are enjoined to be part of this pivotal event, where we will collectively seek innovative solutions to the challenges confronting Nigeria today.
