The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has suspended its airfield staff following an averted near incident involving a Max Air aircraft and a maintenance vehicle on the domestic wing of the Muratal Muhammed Airport, Lagos.
It was learnt that the aircraft which was returning from Abuja on Wednesday, December 15 landed on runway 18L and almost rammed into a maintenance car.
Spokesperson for FAAN, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, said in a statement that the agency “has commenced full scale investigation into the incident, with a view to preventing future recurrence of such incident.”
