The minister of aviation, Mr. Hadi Sirika, who disclosed this via his twitter handle @hadisirika on Sunday said the airline which was granted approval for humanitarian operations was found to have engaged in commercial operations in within Nigeria.

He also said the crew had been interrogated.

The minister who described the airline’s conduct as “callous” said maximum penalty will meted out to it.

“COVID-19. Flair Aviation, a UK company, was given approval for humanitarian operations but regrettably we caught them conducting commercial flights.

“This is callous! The craft is impounded, crew being interrogated. There shall be maximum penalty. Wrong time to try our resolve!” he tweeted.
