Five former governors, 14 others make second batch of Tinubu’s ministerial list

President Bola Tinubu yesterday forwarded the second batch of 19 ministerial nominees to the senate for consideration.

The chief of staff to the president and former speaker of the house of representatives, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila handed in the list, which contains the names of five former state governors and 14 others to the senate president, Mr Godswill Akpabio.

The former state chief executives are Messrs Adegboyega Oyetola (Osun), Bello Matawale (Zamfara), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Ibrahim Geidam (Yobe), and Solomon Lalong (Plateau).

Others on the list are, Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, Bosun Tijani, Dr Maryam Shetty, Isiak Salako, Tunji Alausa, Dr Yusuf Tanko Sununu, Lola Ade John, Shuaibu and Abubakar Audu.

Also on the list are Prof Tahir Mamman, Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, Alkali Ahmed Saidu, Heineken Lokpobori, Uba Maigari Ahmadu and Zaphaniah Bitrus Jisalo.

Akpabio said the screening of the new ministerial nominees would start on Friday, August 4.
