Gunmen have kidnapped four reverend sisters from the Order of the Missionary of Martha and Mary and two others in Delta State.
MMM is under the Issele-Uku Diocese in Agbor town in Ika South Local Government Area of the state.
Channels Television reports that the reverend sisters were said to have been on their way back from a function when some hoodlums attacked them around the Railway Line near Agbor.
The hoodlums intercepted the vehicle conveying the nuns and shot at the vehicle, injuring two other reverend sisters and made away with the six victims.
The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mustafa Mustapha, who confirmed the incident, said the police had begun a search for the victims.
