Geo Travels and Tours has been made the official travel partner of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the FIFA World Cup holding in Russia in June.
Speaking in Lagos at an event tagged ‘Road to Russia’ the director of the company Mr. Alex Ekeoma said Geo Travel and Tours alliance with the NFF “is the company’s own way of making travelling to the World Cup to watch Nigeria’s Super Eagles play as easy as a phone call.”
He stressed that the firm’s participation was meant to ensure that Nigerians travelling for the mundial get value for their money.
“We are going to provide travel to Nigerians desiring to watch the matches in Russia. We are not just going to stop there; we will take them to important tour destinations in Russia. We want to introduce Nigeria to the world and also make a mark during the event,” he said.
Ekeoma, who described the tour company’s association with the NFF for the World Cup as “critical and “strategic” also said: “It is important to make the Super Eagles feel the presence of home support by turning up a massive crowd in Russia.”
“Geo Travel and Tours will collaborate with the local football loving community to give our full support to the Nigerian national football team by flying proud supporters to Russia to cheer and support the Super Eagles.
“Geo Travel and Tours in its commitment to re-defining travel; and tourism and re-introducing Nigeria to the world will present packages that all football loving Nigerians and supporters can choose from to make it to the World Cup with packages starting from as low as N500, 000.

For her part, the company’s head of business, Ms Damilola Osikoya, said Geo Travel and Tours in collaboration with Crenov8, a leading management and digital consulting firm will also be hosting two major events in 2018- the Geo Celebrity Crush Easter Dubai Tour and Meet the Farmers’ Conference in the first and last quarters of the year respectively.
“This is a celebrity tour promoting African pop culture in Dubai for the fans as well as the general public while the Meet the Farmers’ Conference in the final quarter of the year is an annual conference focused on agriculture. It is aimed at connecting large scale agro commodity producers to buyers alike,” she said.
Also, speaking, the President of NFF, Mr. Amaju Pinnick said NFF had embarked on several programmes including friendly matches to ensure the Super Eagles excel in Russia 2018 World Cup.
Pinnick was represented by the NFF 2nd Vice President and chairman of League Management Company (LMC), Mr. Shehu Dikko pledged to give the travel and tours company all the support needed to succeed.
Geo Travel and Tours is working with the travel plans of the NFF to take Nigeria soccer lovers to Russia to support the Super Eagles. We want to get more people as possible to go to Russia and support the Supper Eagle to achieve victory. We will give Geo Travel and Tours all the support to ensure it delivers what it has promised,” he said.
