How to provide insight on how entrepreneurs can get more access to markets, access to funding opportunities and strategies to thrive in their entrepreneurial journey will form the fulcrum of the 2023 edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Symposium (GES) scheduled for November 24-25 taking place at the American Corner on Airport Road in Lagos,
The convener of GES 2023, Ms Juliet Obi said in a statement that the event which will be held under the theme ‘Bring your business to life’ “aims at projecting, promoting and positioning indigenous medium small and micro enterprises (MSMEs) for competitiveness and market expansion.
“It is further geared towards promoting made in Africa products and also to encourage creativity and originality of our products, through greater or enhanced entrepreneurial activities.”
She said notable speakers including the Lagos State manager of Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Bunmi Dawodu, public affairs officer, US Consulate, Lagos, Julia McKay, founder and chief executive officer, Bosaz Foods, Omede Olisa – Achingale, and founder, Blue Sands Academy, Alero Thompson, founder, Blue Sands Academy.
Others are member, board of directors, Innovation Support Network, Edward Esene and founder, Kidpreneur Africa, Juliet Obi.
She said the panelists are expected to provide insight on how entrepreneurs can get more access to markets, access to funding opportunities and strategies to thrive in their entrepreneurial journey.
She said participation at the event is free adding that the occasion “will feature inspiring keynote speakers and panel discussions as well as showcase fireside chats, networking sessions, fashion runway, and fitness dancing sessions.”
Obi further said the event “promises to bring together over 200 exhibitors and participants to brainstorm for entrepreneurship growth and development in Nigeria and Africa.”
