The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, has challenged those who doubt the age of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Mr. Bola Tinubu to go and find out from his (Tinubu’) late mother.
Gbajabiamila threw the challenge while speaking at the party’s presidential rally held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos on Saturday.
“We have come to energise the base. As you are energised, go out there to energise the spring voters. Everyone here is ‘BATified’.
“He is the age his mother said he is. And if they doubt his age, they should go and meet his mother to reconfirm.
“He is the most educated candidate among the presidential candidates.
“I want to tell our southeast and south-south brothers, it is time to invest in Tinubu,” he said.
He also spoke on some other controversies surrounding Tinubu,
On Tinubu’s academic qualifications, the speaker “he (Tinubu) is more educated than all the contestants put together.”
On corruption allegations leveled against the APC standard bearer, Gbajabiamila said “he is the most investigated in the history of Nigeria and nothing has been found on him.”
He said Tinubu “has developed men and women who in turn have developed Nigeria.”
He added: “They said that they want him in America, please don’t argue with them. Tell them that the Americans have said repeatedly that they do not know what they are talking about.
On the choice of Tinubu, a Muslim picking a northern Muslim as running mate, Gbajabiamila said “God is moving mysteriously in ways that they cannot understand.”
