Few days after he was endorsed by Akwa Ibom people for re-election, Governor Udom Emmanuel has purchased his nomination and expression of interest form from the national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 governorship election.
Governor who was represented by the state chairman of the PDP, Obong Paul Ekpo, was accompanied by some members of the national assembly to pick up the form at the Wadata Plaza headquarters of the PDP in Abuja.
In his brief remarks, Ekpo assured that the governor will be re-elected in 2019, citing his spectacular performance and the impact of his leadership on the masses.
“Akwa Ibom is a PDP state; there is no doubt about that. Come 2019, His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel will return as governor of the state,” he said.
