His grace answers all

Funmi Komolafe

As we progress in the month of Grace, may the Lord’s Grace be sufficient for you.

A pastor once defined   Grace as “Unmerited Favour at Christ’s Expense”.

This could be interpreted to mean that we enjoy the Grace of God because Christ has paid for it all.

The grace of God is a package of the Lord’s Favour, mercy and overall goodness of God to mankind.

It is also defined as “ Undeserved, Unmerited Favour”.

The Holy Bible tells us about the God’s grace and its impact in our lives.

2nd Corinthians 12 vs.9&10  ( NIV) : But he said to me, “ My graee is sufficient  for you , for my power is made in weakness”. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong”.

When the Grace of God shows up in a person’s life, fear would vanish and challenges would crumble.

Grace is so important that the Bible mentions the “ throne of Grace”.

Who is seated on the throne of Grace?  Many would answer that our LORD JESUS sits on the throne of Grace.

Hebrews 4 vs.16: “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in the time of need”.

The question is, who can approach the throne of Grace with confidence?

To have the confidence to approach the throne of Grace, you must be someone who is a born-again Christian that has fully surrendered to God?   Do you truly worship the LORD?   Do you trust in his ability to meet your needs?   If your answers, to these questions are positive, then you are qualified to approach the throne of Grace.

When the Grace of God meets with your fears, victory is assured.

Brethren, whatever we are going through, is temporary because Christ bore all our pains, and for us the end result of any the challenge now is joy.

No wonder the Bible tells us in Psalm 30 vs. 5: “ For his anger  lasts only a moment, but his favour lasts a lifetime; weeping  may  remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning”.

Weeping may endure for years, one day; the joy of the Lord will wipe out those years of weeping.

His grace delivers us delivered from the forces of darkness.

Apostle Paul said of the Grace of God in 1st Corinthians 15 vs. 9&10 (KJV): “ For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

But by the grace of God, I am what I am:  and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me”.

Brethren, the Grace of God is sufficient to transform one’s life.

Consider this prayer point. “ Father as you did to Apostle Paul, by your mercy clothe me with your garment of Grace”.

Brethren this prayer is a prayer that needs to be said daily if possible.

The answer to the prayer would manifest in Jesus name.

With the Grace of God working in your life, you would soon testify to an overflow of whatever is lacking in your life now.

I share with you the story of a young lady who got married about two years age.   Shortly after marriage, she got pregnant.  About six months into the pregnancy, she had a miscarriage.

She got pregnant again, about five months into the pregnancy, she had another miscarriage.

Beloved, this lady and her husband are church workers. They knew that reoccurring miscarriage isn’t natural.  Therefore, some forces of darkness must be behind it.

The couple chose to hold on prayerfully to the word of God in Exodus 23 vs. 25 & 26: “ Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water.  I will take away sickness from among you, and none  will miscarry  or be barren in your land.  I will give you a full life span.

The emphasis as it applies to their situation is verse 26 that assures that God will not allow miscarriage and guarantee a full life span for the baby to be born.

Now to the glory of God, two weeks ago, this lady and her husband welcomed a baby boy.

Joy replaced losses.

This couple stuck together in prayer.

Their prayer of agreement has been answered.

My prayer for you is that wherever the enemy has a hand in your life, the fire of God will roast that hand in Jesus name.

For this couple that I mentioned here, there was no medical explanation for the traumatic experience of miscarriage.

Beloved, if you find yourself faced with a challenge that defies medical science solution, run to JESUS.

Even when medical science has the answer, you still need God to help you pull through.

No wonder the motto of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital ( LUTH) is “ We care , God heals”.

Brethren, if you are still afraid of the forces of darkness, you need to check the level of your faith and your stand with Christ.

A lot of women and men know that many of the challenges they have are of spiritual origin.  Most of these challenges are planted in people’s lives through dreams.

What do you do as a child of God?  When you have a dream that you are uncomfortable with rise up immediately and nullify with the Word of God.

Many of us are handicapped because we don’t know the right Word to use.

One would be unable to use the right words, if you do not study the Bible or listen attentively to sermons.

We need a combination of these two activities to be fully equipped to become overcomers.

At times, the Holy Spirit would tell us the right words to use but that is for those that are connected to the Spirit of Truth.

Romans 8 vs. 26 ( KJV) “ Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know  not what we should  pray for as we ought : but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

In the hour of need, may the Spirit of God intercede for us in Jesus name.

We are assured of the sufficiency of the Grace of God for us in Galatians 3 vs. 13&14:  “ Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith”.

Brethren I share with you a prayer point raised by a Pastor during a mid-week service.

“Every power that is resisting my progress, Father, destroy them by fire in Jesus name”.

Beloved, let’s try to repeatedly use a prayer point that addresses our issues as many times as possible.

1st Peter 5 vs. 10 also says of the Grace of God. : “ But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you”.

For all that you have suffered as a result of lack, may the Almighty God settle you in Jesus name.

When God settles you, when he makes you perfect, when the Lord strengthens you, brethren you will be an overcomer.

Joy unspeakable will replace mockery and you will be at peace.

Pastor  Funso Adedayo of RCCG defines grace as “ Favour shown by mercy”.

May you receive the Grace of God this month in Jesus name?

Shalom!
