The executive vice chairman and chief executive officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Mr Khalil Halilu has been named as the 2024 Winner of the Daily Global Newspaper (DGN) Conference Series Award for Science, Technology, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
The editor-in-chief and publisher of DGN, Mr Innocent Eneta disclosed this in a release.
According to him, the award was conferred on the recipient at the DGN Conference Series held in Lagos.
Eneta said Halilu’s remarkable efforts in championing sustainable development and fostering technological excellence align with the values of the award.
“We celebrate Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu for his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to national growth and congratulate him on this outstanding achievement.
“His contributions continue to pave the way for a brighter and more innovative future for Nigeria.
“The award celebrates Mr. Halilu’s exemplary leadership and groundbreaking contributions to advancing science, technology, and infrastructure in Nigeria.
“Under his visionary guidance, NASENI has emerged as a leader in leveraged manufacturing for supporting the growth of Nigerian industrial sector and sustainable technological development through the establishment of NASENI CNG Reverse Engineering and Conversion Centre,” Eneta said.
He added that such innovations “have positioned the agency as a vital force in Nigeria’s industrial and technological progress, inspiring a new wave of innovation and development across the nation.”
The DGN Conference Series Award honours individuals and organizations making significant strides in science, technology, and innovation.
