It is widely accepted that technology is the key driver of economic growth of countries as it allows for the more efficient production of more and better goods and services, which is what prosperity depends on.
It is for such reason that critical stakeholders will converge on Lagos for the Daily Global Newspaper annual conference to deliberate on the importance of technology infrastructure in advancing Nigeria’s economy.
The publisher for the hard copy and online newspaper, Mr Innocent Eneta said in a statement that this year’s event holds under the theme ‘Leveraging science, technology, and innovations for sustainable infrastructure transformation.’
He said the conference which takes place on November 21, 2024, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, will feature political stakeholders and policy formulator.
He also said major organisations such as institutions such as MTN Nigeria, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Nigeria Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), and Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
Also invited are top financial and technology leaders, including Interswitch, Flutterwave, and the Bank of Agriculture.
Also in attendance will be prominent regulatory bodies such as the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), National Pension Commission (PENCOM), and the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI).
Other attendees include research and innovation-focused agencies like the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN), and the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA).
“This year’s event is expected to make significant contributions towards shaping Nigeria’s infrastructural landscape.
“It offers a valuable platform for media houses, journalists, policymakers, and members of the public to engage with thought leaders on the importance of technology infrastructure in advancing Nigeria’s economy.
“The conversations at this conference aim to uncover strategies for applying scientific advancements and digital solutions to foster sustainable development,” Eneta stated.
