The managing director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Mr Ahmed Farouk said the federal government had given the approval to overhaul and modernise the communication architecture of the country’s airspace.
The director of public affairs and consumer protection of NAMA, Mr Abdullahi Musa disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja.
He said Farouk made the announcement during the in-house inauguration/induction for the newly appointed chief executive officers and directors in aviation agencies held in Abuja at the weekend.
The statement quoted the managing director as saying: “The communication architecture of Nigerian airspace is now broadened, addressing issues that were prevalent before. We are dedicated to ensuring seamless communication between pilots and air traffic controllers.”
Farouk also highlighted the fundamental role of performance bonds in advancing the aviation sector and pledged NAMA’s dedication to surpassing expectations, tackling challenges and aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope initiative and agenda.
He reassured the public of the agency’s unwavering commitment to optimal performance, with a focus on benefiting the Nigerian community.
