NDIC, SEC chief executives penciled in as keynote speakers at FiBOP Workshop 2024

The managing director and chief executive officer of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Mr Bello Hassan and the director general of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Dr. Emomotimi Agama, are to feature as keynote speakers at a workshop organised by the Finance and Business Publishers (FiBOP).

The chairperson of the workshop planning committee, Vera Osokpo said in a statement on Monday that the two chief executives have confirmed their attendance at the event which holds under the theme ‘Digital Innovation: Deepening Infrastructure for Efficient Financial Ecosystem’ from October 18-20, 2024, at Orchids Hotel in Lekki, Lagos.

“The digitalisation of the financial system has revolutionised transactions, bringing speed, convenience, reduced costs, and increased financial savings. It has also improved access to financial services, security, transparency, and financial inclusion. With the increasing demand for digital services, the need to innovate for sustainability becomes imperative, requiring a strong infrastructure base for innovation to thrive.

Agama is a renowned expert in economics, finance, and risk management. He holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. in Economics from Nile University of Nigeria, and various certifications from prestigious institutions globally.

Hassan is a seasoned professional with expertise in accounting, business continuity management, and banking. He holds a degree in Accounting and an MBA from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Diploma in Business Continuity Management from Coventry University, UK.
