Fani-Kayode: God made the APC chieftain to campaign for the PDP.

The minister of labour and productivity and stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Chris Ngige, on Tuesday campaigned for the re-election of the Ekiti State governor and staunch member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Ayodele Fayose, in the July 14, 2018 governorship election in the state.

Fayose is serving out his tenure of eight years and his deputy, Prof. Kolapo Eleka is PDP’s flag bearer.

Speaking at APC mega rally in Ado Ekiti, Ngige who intended to campaign for the party’s standard bearer in the election, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, repeatedly mentioned the incumbent governor, Fayose.

“Will it happen on Saturday?” Ngige asked the cheering crowd.

“Those who want Saturday to happen, raise your hands with PVC and everything…

“Mr. President, leaders of our party, our people are ready and on Saturday it will happen. We thank the leaders of our party, especially those from the South West, for forgiving the Ekiti people for the mistake they made in 2014. So, they won’t make that mistake again.

“If you marry two wives, you will know which one is better. Fayose is the better wife; (she) cooks and feeds the husband well. (She) does not give the husband any problem. So you must bring back Fayose on Saturday.”

However, he was promptly jolted back to the consciousness that he had been canvassing support for the opposition.

In his reaction to Ngige’s slip, the former minister of aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, said God made the APC chieftain to campaign for the PDP.

In a tweet, Fani-Kayode wrote: “Fayose is the better wife. He cooks very well. Mr. President when Fayose cooks the food is sweet. So, people of Ekiti, you must bring Fayose back on Saturday- Chief Chris Ngige, Hon. Min. of Labour, Ado Ekiti, 10th July 2018. When God is with you, even your enemies speak for you.”
