The latest report by the Henley Passport Index shows that Nigeria is in the 92nd position in global passport power.
The Henley Passport Index, which is recognised as the authoritative ranking of global passports, ranks countries based on the number of destinations their passport holders can access without a prior visa.
The index is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and enhanced by Henley & Partners’ research team.
It includes 199 different passports and 227 different travel destinations, making it the standard reference tool for global citizens and sovereign states assessing passport power.
In the latest ranking, Singapore tops the list as the world’s most powerful passport.
France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Japan occupy the second position while South Korea, Finland, Sweden, Austria, Ireland, Netherlands, and Luxembourg come third.
Denmark, Belgium, New Zealand, the UK, Norway, and Switzerland take the fourth place while Australia and Portugal rank fifth.
Others occupying the top positions are Greece and Poland in the sixth position; Malta, Canada, Czechia, and Hungary in the seventh position and the United States in the eighth.
Others on the top ten chart include the UAE, Estonia, and Lithuania in the ninth place and Iceland, Latvia, Slovakia, and Slovenia taking the 10th slot.
