The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) is set to establish blue economy information desks at all international airports in the country.
The director general of the agency, Dr Bashir Jamoh, disclosed this in a statement after a “fruitful discussion” with the minister of aviation and aerospace development, Mr Festus Keyamo in Abuja.
Jamoh said the blue economy desks “will enhance inter ministerial collaboration to harness potential in Nigerian maritime sector by creating awareness of a functional intermodal transport system and tourism among others which are key components of a growing maritime nation.”
