United Airlines has named Ms Oluwatomi Bola-Sadipe as its country sales manager for Nigeria and Ghana as the airline prepares for the start of its new service from Lagos to Washington D.C. on December, 2021, subject to government approval.
In a statement issued in Lagos, the airline said Oluwarotimi will be assisted by United’s new sales representative in Nigeria, Logistikzentrum Limited.
The airline will operate three weekly flights connecting Nigeria’s largest city to the U.S. capital, the only nonstop flight between Lagos and Washington, D.C. The new service marks United’s return to Nigeria, which the airline previously served up until 2016.
As United’s new country sales manager for Nigeria and Ghana, Oluwatomi brings a wealth of industry experience having held various positions in the Nigerian travel industry.
Before taking up her new role at United, Oluwatomi was the head of the sales and account management team at BCD Travel in Nigeria.
As United’s new sales representative in Nigeria, Logistikzentrum Limited will manage the airline’s new City Ticket Office, set to open later this month.
Headed by executive director, Akeem Adewole, together with general manager, Henry Mujota, previously Lufthansa country manager for Nigeria, Logistikzentrum’s team has a respected track record in the Nigerian travel industry.
Commenting on the developments, the airline’s director of sales continental for Europe, India and West-Africa, Thorsten Lettnin said: “We are thrilled to be returning to Nigeria and proud to appoint Oluwatomi Bola-Sadipe as our Country Sales Manager.

“We are bringing the most modern aircraft to serve this route with our award-winning United Polaris business service on board,”
United will operate the new service from Lagos to Washington D.C. with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, featuring 28 United Polaris business class lie-flat seats, 21 United Premium Plus premium economy seats, 36 Economy Plus seats and 158 standard economy seats. This flight is the only service between Nigeria and the U.S. to offer a premium economy product.
