A Saudia Airlines pilot was compelled to make a U-Turn after a mother suddenly remembered that she had forgotten her baby in the airport terminal.
The Kuala Lumpur-bound flight did a U-Turn and headed back to the airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Yahoo Lifestyle had reported.
The frantic mother told the crew that she had accidentally left her baby in the boarding area of the terminal, Yahoo said, quoting the Gulf News.
Yahoo noted that a subsequent conversation between the Saudia Airlines pilot and air traffic control revealed the pilot as saying, “May God be with us. Can we come back or what?
“This flight is requesting to come back. A passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area, the poor thing.”
The flight eventually returned to the airport in Jeddah.
Describing it as “a totally new” experience, air traffic control granted the flight permission to return, and the distressed mother was reunited with her child.
