Project Save the Earth Initiative has said that there is the need to take urgent action to address the alarming effects of heat wave sweeping through the world.
The project coordinator of the NGO, Mr Innocent Eneta, made the call in a statement issued in Lagos.
He said the nonprofit organisation “seeks to mobilise support for climate action across all sectors of society through engagement with policymakers, businesses, and the public” to “drive tangible change and create a more sustainable future for all.”
“Amidst escalating environmental challenges, the Project Save the Earth Initiative emerges as a beacon of hope and a driver for change.
“Project Save the Earth Initiative stands at the forefront of the battle against climate change. With its innovative approach and unwavering commitment to environmental conservation, the initiative is poised to make a significant impact in raising awareness about climate change and inspiring meaningful climate action,” Eneta added.
The project coordinator explained that the NGO was founded on the principles of environmental conservation and climate change awareness stressing that “this initiative is poised to transform how we perceive and tackle the urgent issue of climate change.
“Central to its mission, Project Save the Earth Initiative aims to cultivate broad awareness about climate change and its profound impact on our planet.
“Through innovative campaigns, educational initiatives, and community engagement, the initiative empowers individuals and communities to take decisive action against climate change.
“A primary objective of the initiative is to advocate for sustainable practices and lifestyles that reduce our carbon footprint.
“By promoting the adoption of renewable energy sources, advocating for waste reduction and recycling, and supporting sustainable agriculture, Project Save the Earth Initiative aims to mitigate the effects of climate change and safeguard our planet for future generations.”
