The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) on Friday received 15 wheel chairs from the Rotary Club of Falomo, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The items were handed over to the agency at its Lagos Liaison office in Lagos.
Speaking at the brief ceremony, the managing director of FAAN, Capt. Rabiu Yadudu who was represented by the director of FAAN, who was represented by the general manager, environment, Mr. Nehemiah Auta expressed appreciation to the club for its benevolence.
He noted that Rotary club is known globally for a strong culture of corporate social responsibility wherever they are domiciled.
He appealed to other corporate organisations to emulate Rotary’s kind act.
The managing director assured that FAAN would ensure the chairs are put to good use.
In his remarks, the district governor of the club, Mr. Bola Oyebade, who was accompanied on the visit by the district president, Mr. Peter Nwaochei and other executive members, promised that they will continue to partner with the FAAN to ensure the delivery of good services at airports.
He explained that the donation was part of the activities to commemorate the annual RC Falomo Family week.
Also present at the meeting were general managers, finance, Mrs. Funmilayo Olonisakin; operations, Mrs. Olajumoke Oni; special duties, Mr. Kabir Muhammed; commercial, Mrs. Francisca Sonaike; deputy general managers, corporate affairs, Mrs. Christabel Eromosele and stores, Mrs. Oge Okponyia, among others.
