Gunmen attacked the Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka, Winners’ Chapel in Osara community, Adavi local government area of Kogi State and kidnapped three persons.
Chairman of the local government, Mr. Joseph Salami, who confirmed the report said the gunmen invaded the church at the weekend and began to shoot in the air to scare away the parishioners.
Salami who visited the scene of the incident alongside the divisional police officer of Osara division confirmed that a staff of Confluence University of Science and Technology and two students of Kogi State Polytechnic were abducted by the gunmen.
He assured the residents of Osara community that the government and security agencies will ensure the release of the victims.
“Ever before now, we had series of meetings with the people of Osara Community and entire farm center, told them to restrict every night activities for now.
“Whoever wants to hold any activity in the night should get appropriate quarters informed and also get their approval to ensure that adequate security is provided…
“We all know the security challenges of this country… So, all hands must be on deck to strengthen the peace in our various communities.”
