Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc has announced the appointments of Mr Adegbesan Abiodun as its executive director of finance and administration and Mr Donald Adekunle as the general manager in charge of cargo services.
The company said in a statement by its spokesperson, Mrs Vanessa Uansohia that Abiodun holds a BSc (Hons) in accounting from the University of Ilorin and an MBA in finance from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology.
It further stated that the DFA, who had served for over 30 years in accounting and finance fields is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCIT), and Chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management (CIPDM) alongside certifications as a Chartered Certified Forensic Investigator (CCPI) and Chartered Certified Forensic Accountant (CCrFA).
He served at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) in the directorate of finance and accounts as the general manager, credit control and general manager, budget.
“These positions demanded exceptional proficiency in financial management, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. His adeptness in navigating both public and private sectors, demonstrated by his earlier role with the Great Commission Movement of Nigeria as a management accountant, underscores his role versatile capabilities.
“By this appointment, Adegbesan is to oversee both the Finance department and Admin department of Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC,” the statement added.
Adekunle, on the other hand, worked with Emirates for 17 years as cargo manager in Nigeria.
He holds a degree in Food Technology from the University of Agriculture, Markurdi, a Masters degree in Business Administration and Human Resources from the University of Ado Ekiti and a post-graduate diploma in Supply Chain Management from Westford University College, Dubai, among other qualifications.
He has a career spanning more than 26 years in air freight and logistics, strategic planning, and general cargo operations.
