The Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited (SAHCOL) has appointed Mr. Basil Agboarumi as the company’s new managing director and chief executive officer.
The company’s assistant manager, corporate communications, Ms Vanessa Uansohia, said in a statement that the appointment was conveyed in a letter to Agboarumi who had served in acting capacity for six months.
The new managing director who joined SAHCOL, then a subsidiary of the Nigeria Airways Ltd as the pioneer head of the public affairs unit holds a National Diploma (ND) in Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi; a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko; a Masters in Communications Studies (MCS) from the Lagos State University, and a certificate in Creative Design and Digital Communication from the School of Media and Communications, Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos.
Agboarumi is a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD Nigeria), a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (FNIPR), an Associate Member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCN).
The company also appointed three executive directors including Mrs. Boma Ukwunna as director of cargo services and operations; Mr. Olaniyi Adigun, director, sales and marketing; and Mr. Babatunde Afolabi as director, information technology and business development.
