A 30-year-old man named Alex, suspected to be a ritual killer and an internet fraudster, has been arrested while attempting to kill a hook-up girl named Olivia for ritual purpose.
According to reports, the incident occurred in Top View Hotel, Wuse, Abuja on September 17, 2024.
In a video that has gone viral, the victim is seen naked, her legs and hands tied to a chair and her mouth sealed with a adhesive tape to prevent passers-by from hearing her scream.
In a statement, the spokesperson for the FCT police command, Ms Josephine Adeh, said: “The FCT police command is aware of the video footage circulating about a lady who was crimin ally confined in Top View Hotel, Wuse, Abuja on 17th September, 2024, by an alleged Internet fraudster for money ritual.
“Findings revealed that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has taken the suspect into custody and are yet to hand over to the police for diligent investigation.
“The FCT police command for all intent and purposes awaits the NSCDC to hand over all parties for commencement of diligent and discreet investigation.
“Further development will be communicated in due course.”
