You know the governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, whose bitter diatribe spares no one. You will recall that in May this year, he was in Lagos to give a ‘lecture’ on how to deal with political godfathers and retire them permanently.

He told his ‘students’ that in his home state, he had dealt with as many as four of such individuals and marooned them to political island.

He told his Lagos ‘outreach campus’ students that their political godfathers are not invincible and with a ‘start-up’ capital of N2b, they could make their political godfathers rest in permanent silence till the cows come home.

Many interpreted El-Rufai’s comments as a direct attack on the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who has dominated the Lagos politics since 1999.

Tinubu’s foot soldiers did not let the matter go. They told off El-Rufai and reminded him that Lagos is not Kaduna. The bad blood continued.

But at the maiden commemoration of June 12 as Democracy Day held at Eagle Square, Abuja on Wednesday, June 12, the two APCians seemed to have made up as they met formally since the altercation and shook hands while others watched in amazement! See the picture above.
