United Nigeria Airlines starts scheduled operations

United Nigeria Airlines will conduct its inaugural flight on Friday, February 12, 2021.

The airline said in a statement by its spokesman, Achilleus-Chud Uchegbu that inaugural flight will take off from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MM2), Lagos to its operational base at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu,

It will also fly from Enugu to Abuja and finally return to Lagos.

He added that flight will be conducted with an EMB145 aircraft type.

He said the flight was sequel to the issuance of an Air Operators Certificate to (AOC) to the airline by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) after the carrier had fulfilled all the mandatory regulatory requirements.

Uchegbu said regular daily flights to Lagos, Abuja, Asaba and Enugu airports will commence immediately while Owerri and Port Harcourt services will come thereafter.

He said the airline will fly Lagos-Abuja, Abuja-Lagos, Lagos-Asaba, Asaba-Abuja, Abuja- Asaba, Asaba-Lagos, Lagos-Enugu, Enugu-Abuja, Abuja-Enugu and Enugu-Lagos daily.
