The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on Wednesday confirmed that it opened its portal for recruitment of fresh graduates and experienced professionals into the system.
The confirmation followed the recruitment advertisement in the social media which many regarded as a scam.
“We are hiring,” the announcement said. “Are you passionate about building an exciting career in NNPC? Join us.”
The group general manager, public affairs division of NNPC, Mr. Ndu Ughamadu who confirmed the development said the portal for the recruitment was opened on Wednesday.
“The recruitment portal address is https:/careers.nnpcgroup.com. The portal was opened today and I have received hundreds of inquiries weather it is correct or not. We are going to recruit people from different engineering fields, especially fresh graduates and equally in the administrative areas,” he said.

He said the exercise will be in three categories of fresh graduates, senior officers/supervisory cadre and managerial cadre.
On its official website, www.nnpcgroup.com, the corporation highlights the various fields in which there are vacancies as well as the qualifications needed for the positions both at the graduate trainee or the experienced applicants’ levels.
The organisation warned that “NNPC and its subsidiaries will NEVER request payment for applications and/or job placements. All interested applicants will be required to undergo the NNPC recruitment process.”
