The West African Examination Council (WAEC) yesterday released the final timetable for the conduct of year 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
A statement by WAEC spokesman, Mr. Demianus Ojijeogu, enjoined the general public to disregard any timetable that does not emanate from the council.
According to the timetable, candidates would sit for Mathematics on August 17 and write English Language papers on August 26.
It said Mathematics (Essay) holds between 9:30 am and 12:00 noon while Mathematics (Objective) holds from 3:00 pm to 4:30pm August 17.
The examination body said English Language (Essay) holds August 26 from 9:30am to 11:30am while English Language (Objective) holds between 11:30am and 12:30pm.
Biology practicals hold August 31 from 09:30am while Essay and Objective hold August 25 from 09:30am.
Chemistry practical holds August 7 and 18 from 09:30, while Essay and Objective hold September 2 from 02:00pm.
Physics practical hold August 8 and 20 from 09:30am while Essay and Objective hold August 28 from 09:30am.
Economics (Essay and Objective) hold August 19 from 09:30am while Agricultural Science (Essay and Objective) hold same day from 02:00pm.
History (Essay and Objective) holds August 20 from 02:00pm; Literature-In-English (Prose, Objective, Drama and Poetry), August 21 from 09:30am while Principles of Cost Accounting 2 (Essay and Objective) hold August 26 from 02:00pm.
Geography 2 (Essay and Objective) hold August 27 from 09:30am; French (Essay and Objective) hold August 29 from 09:30 and Further Mathematics (Essay and Objective), September 1 from 09:30am.
Christian Religious Studies (Essay and Objective) and Islamic Studies (Essay and Objective) hold September 2 from 09:30am while Government (Essay and Objective) are slated for September 3 from 09:30am.
Foods and Nutrition 2 (Essay and Objective) hold September 4 from 09:30am while Yoruba/Hausa/Igbo/others (Essay and Objective) hold September 8 from 09:30am.
The council appealed to the students to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of the examination by shunning all acts of malpractices.
It also urged the candidates to obey all the COVID-19 protocols that put in place at the examination centres.
